Living Journey’s 11th Annual Half-Marathon and Inaugural 10k Trail Run

Come run Mt Crested Butte to support community members fighting cancer and honor the friends and families we’ve lost! Both the Half Marathon and the 10k offer amazing views, beautiful wildflowers, and are great summer races for runners looking for fun, challenging mountain trail runs.

Lunch, beverages, and a goodie bag are included with registration. Coffee and light refreshments will also be available in the morning.

Half Marathon
This unique, home-grown half marathon features a spectacular trail run on Mount Crested Butte in southwestern Colorado’s heart of the West Elk Mountains.

Runners follow a single track after starting at the base area and wind their way up the mountain to the top of the Silver Queen chairlift (almost 2000 feet of elevation gain). Then runners follow a single track back down via Painter Boy and to the base area, where we will be waiting with a post-race lunch celebration.

10k
The Living Journeys 10k is a scenic, single-track trail run that is a bit more approachable than the Living Journey’s Half Marathon with only ~900 ft of elevation gain. This course fomass/Maroon Bells Wilderness, and the Gunnison National Forest.

Registration Pick Up
Registration packets will be available for pick up the day before. Please stay tuned for details.

Day-of registration will open at 7 am, the Half Marathon will start at 8 am, and the Heavy 10k will begin at 8:20 am.

Lunch will be served at the base area starting at 11 am, so hang out with us after your run!
