Kids Cook! Recipes from Native Lands

Indigenous American food has a complicated history.

While delicious, traditional indigenous food systems were systematically erased through government land appropriations–recipes and ecological knowledge remain, but they have been historically repressed.

Restoring this knowledge to indigenous and non-native communities is a project in justice as well as reconnecting to the land and environment we occupy.

Join us this semester at KIDS COOK! for a restorative session on indigenous recipes and history lessons about where we live and the people who’ve been here for hundreds of thousands of years.
