Historic Movie Night at the Majestic
Join us for this iconic classic filmed in our very own Crested Butte! This flick was filmed in 1972 and is a family-friendly film showcasing the fictional story of a man inheriting a ski resort in the Rocky Mountains, quitting his job in New York and moves west to run it — only to find his “estate” in a state of total dilapidation. When his family decides to fix it up and run it, an enemy wants the property and does everything he can to ensure that their efforts will fail.
The showing will begin with a brief story telling session by Barbara Mason, Sue Navy and Eric Roemer about their experience during the making of this flick, including a Q&A at the end! We are fundraising to make some updates to our ski and snowboard exhibit at the museum during the months of April and May.
We are offering a “choose your ticket price” for this event, and to ensure your spot, purchase tickets early! We anticipate this being a popular event, purchase tickets below. This film will be shown at the Majestic Theatre in Crested Butte, located at 507 Red Lady Ave at 6:30pm on Monday, March 13th.
