Please join us on Saturday, August 5 at the Gunnison Library for a Community Rock & Fossil Day!

The day includes:
– Presentation
– 10 AM Geology of Gunnison County – Dr. Rob Fillmore – WCU professor of geology
Family Friendly Activities
– 11 AM – 1 PM open sessions
– Rock, mineral, and fossil identification: Bring you rock mineral or fossils and talk to a geologist about identifying it
– Create a trace fossil
– Create a geologic time scale
– Learn to identify common minerals, rocks and fossils
