Join us to celebrate Chuck Brenton + Frank Gonzales with drinkable art cocktails, music by Secondhand String Band and mingling on July 1, 5 – 7 pm.
The show will run July 1 – August 4.
Vibrancies is an exquisite pairing that contrasts nature’s geometric and organic dualities, and parallels flora and fauna ecosystems through an emphasis on color and form, creating a synergistic premier exhibit.
Chuck Brenton
The work at its core is an abstract meditation on wildness, not only in terms of forms and colors but conceptual complexity. I aim to depict the duality of nature in the mountain west by using chaotic geometries and systematic minimalism, drawing inspiration from both the original structure of the habitats and the patterns of the organisms living within them.
Frank Gonzales
Frank Gonzales was born in Mesa, Arizona and grew up in Tempe. He received his BFA from Laguna College of Art and Design in 2003. His work explores ornithological subjects, organic and plant elements and color. By creating paintings from reference and made-up elements, there becomes a play between artificiality and realism.
