Alpenglow Concert Series: Madeline Hawthorne

Montana singer/songwriter Madeline Hawthorne steps into the spotlight here with equal parts grit and charm. Written following the dissolution of her longtime band, The Hawthorne Roots, the album is a work of profound reflection and self-discovery, reckoning with evolution and independence while facing down the pressures of modern womanhood with unflinching honesty an steadfast resilience. The songs here are bold and ambitious, captured live in the studio over just two-and-a-half days, and the result is a raw, rousing collection that blurs the lines between roots, country, and soul as it transforms pain into beauty and doubt into hope.

Rain or shine, music starts in Town Park at 5:30. Bring a chair, a blanket, and your dancing shoes! Local food vendors and a bar will be available at every concert to create the perfect picnic.

Please no dogs, no outside alcohol, and no glass. Please do not dump ice onto Town Park. PLEASE take the bus or ride your bike – it’s good for the planet! If you do drive, please park at Crested Butte Community School or at the 4-way Stop.
