We are excited to honor and celebrate the milestone reunions of the classes ending in 0 & 5, starting with the Class of 1955 (1960, 1965, 1970 etc.)

As Mountaineers, our spirit of adventure and community brings us together.

Alumni Ascent Bike Ride
Friday, 10:00 AM. Meet at eastern end of Library parking lot
Join us for an unforgettable morning near campus on the Signal Peak trails with Western Colorado University’s Mountain Sports team! Designed for experienced riders, this mountain bike tour offers two route options tailored to your skill and comfort level: choose between a scenic beginner-friendly ride or a more advanced, technical adventure that will challenge and inspire. There’s no cost to ride, but your donation—no matter the size—helps keep our Mountain Sports program rolling strong. Make your gift here.

Don’t have a bike? No problem—bike rentals are available through Wilderness Pursuits. Rental fee is $45/mountain biking package.

Whether you’re here to enjoy the ride or push your limits, this tour is the perfect way to experience the spirit of Western on two wheels.

Enjoy refreshments while you peruse old yearbooks, get the weekend’s schedule of events, and pick up swag. Featuring art by, Cheryl Pettigrew, class of 2000. Plus, you can check in early and avoid the lines at the Lighting of the W Party.

Tenderfoot (W) Mountain Tour
Sunday, 9 AM – 12:30 PM
Meet at the Welcome Center Parking Lot
Explore the 11,000-year-old Tenderfoot Site on “W” Mountain with anthropologist Landan Schaller. After a short drive and easy hike, you’ll see Folsom culture excavations up close. Expect bumpy roads and rugged conditions—bring water, sun protection, sturdy shoes, and snacks. We will have vehicles available to shuttle guests up to the site. Seating is limited, so if you’d like, you’re also welcome to drive your own vehicle. For those driving, we recommend 4-wheel drive to best handle the road conditions.
