Swiftwater Rescue Training
This physically challenging course will be conducted by Swiftwater Safety Institute (SSI) out of Jackson, Wyoming. This course is intense, containing some classroom instruction and several hours of developing and practicing rescue skills.
The initial emphasis is on developing self-rescue skills. Other objectives include an in-depth look at: safety, line in water contact rescue, handling hazards and obstacles, understanding water dynamics and using basic rescue equipment.

The Swiftwater Rescue Training (SRT PRO-1) course is optional but required to guide our more advanced whitewater trips (class III+).
2023 Dates: June 5th and 6th
Equipment Requirements & Course Information:
– Dry Suit
– Lightweight helmet
– USCG approved PFD (Type III or V)
– River shoes or hard soled booties
– River Knife and Whistle
– Minimum 18 years of age
– Good physical condition
