Pickin’ A Food Truck Competition and Music Festival

The Town of Mt. Crested Butte invites foodies, families, and music lovers to the 3rd Annual MTCB Pickin’ a Food Truck Competition & Festival on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 12 to 4 PM at the Snowmass Parking Lot (43 Snowmass Rd., Mt. Crested Butte, CO 81225).

Gates open at 11:30 AM.

This free community event features:
•   Delicious bites from Colorado-based food trucks
•   Live bluegrass music from Chicken Wire Empire and Clay Street Unit
•   Family-friendly activities for all ages
•   A chance to be a food competition judge!

Attendees can sample free “comp bites” from participating food trucks and vote for their favorites between noon and 3 pm. Judging punch cards and samples are first-come, first-serve and limited—early arrival is highly encouraged for those wanting to taste and vote. Winners will be announced at 3:30 pm.

Competing food trucks this year are: Southern Belle (2023 People’s Choice & Judge’s Delight winner), The Dump Truck, Chillberg, Vegan AF, The Rolling Kaz, and Best Spuds.

The event has ADA parking available onsite but there is no general parking at the venue. Attendees are encouraged to park at the free CBMR lot or take the Mt. Express Town Shuttle to the Wood Creek or The Plaza bus stops for easy access.
