Join Crested Butte’s Art Center for the reception of De Natura Libris to celebrate the artist, Alvaro Alejandro Lopez. Featuring a robust bar menu as well as complimentary house wine or beer.
Recommended by the Mexican consulate, Alvaro Alejandro Lopez comes to the Center’s Kinder Padon Gallery to promote different cultural libraries of the world through an exhibition of novels and texts in a beautiful exhibition paring with the Mountain Words Festival.
De Natura Libris is an invitation to delve into the nooks and crannies of the “book” concept as an object and as a score that each reader must build from the creative proposal.
Alejandro’s Project is completed by texts of various such as: Salman Rushdie, Anne Carson, Orhan Pamuk, Naomi Shihab Nye, Billy Collins, Forrest Gander, Yann Martel, Alberto Manguel, Joan Leedom Ackerman, Sven Birkerts, Ana Blandiana, Roger Chartier, Jacqueline Woodson, Paul Auster, Georgi Gospodinov, Joanna Kavenna, Damon Galgut, Lidia Jorge, Enrique Vila Matas, Yan Lianke, among others.
Álvaro Alejandro López, Mexico City. Worked in the publishing industry. Recently, he began to exhibit his personal photographic projects. Some have been presented in Mexico, USA, Canada, Spain, Belgium, Iceland, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. Selected as one of the winners of the Arte en la Red Casa de América, Madrid, Spain.
