The 2026 Mardi Gras Parade in Crested Butte will take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 (Fat Tuesday).

This lively, community-driven celebration unfolds along Elk Avenue,

The event features creatively decorated floats, costumes, music, and plenty of Mardi Gras spirit adapted to a snowy mountain setting. A cash prize is typically awarded for the best-decorated float, encouraging imaginative participation from locals and visitors alike.

After the parade, festivities continue with an after-party at the Mallardi Theatre, where attendees can enjoy live music and dancing. The parade is free and family-friendly, reflecting Crested Butte’s strong community culture and KBUT’s role as a hub for local events and celebrations.
