Hispanic Heritage Celebration with Chimbangle
Music that Unites Cultures
Chimbangle was born in 2017 in Colorado as a project that sought more than to fill dance floors: it wanted to tell stories and celebrate Latin heritage through music. Their name, full of rhythm and flavor, has become synonymous with energy, diversity, and community.
The group is made up of musicians from different backgrounds and backgrounds who, together, fuse genres such as salsa, merengue, bachata, reggaeton, cumbia, and Latin pop. Their work combines the best of tradition with modern arrangements, achieving a fresh and universal sound.
In almost six years, Chimbangle has performed more than 250 times, from festivals and nightclubs to weddings, community fairs, and corporate events. They have shared the stage with international icons such as Nacho, Guaco, and Oscar D’León, bringing Latin flavor to diverse audiences.
More than a band, Chimbangle is a cultural bridge. Each show is a space where music breaks language barriers and connects people of all ages and backgrounds. With permanent residencies at Raíces Brewing Company and La Rumba Nightclub in Denver, their presence is an essential part of the city’s nightlife and culture.
This September 20th, the performance in Gunnison has special significance: it will be part of the Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations. For Chimbangle, it is an opportunity to proudly represent the richness of Latin culture on a stage that brings the entire community together, bringing our music to places where diversity and cultural identity deserve to be strongly celebrated.
Today, Chimbangle continues to grow, exploring new venues in and outside of Colorado, and reaffirming its mission: to create moments that people remember with a smile and their hearts beating to the rhythm of Latin music.
