Great Decisions: Climate Mitigation Discussion
EVENT DETAILS
Join us on Wednesday, March 15 at 6 pm at the Gunnison Library or virtually for a foreign policy discussion about Climate Migration.
About the topic:
As climate change accelerates and drought and rising sea levels become more common, millions of people in affected regions must uproot themselves and seek safety elsewhere. Who are these affected individuals, and how might the United States aid them, and be affected by the migration? (by Karen Jacobsen. Full article PDF here)
. . .
This part is part of an eight-week discussion series called Great Decisions hosted by the Gunnison Library, in conjunction with the Foreign Policy Association. Great Decisions is the largest discussion program on world affairs in the United States.
Participants will read a short article each week to familiarize themselves with the topic. Then at the meeting, we will watch a short documentary video clip and engage in a moderated discussion.
Please email cb.greatdecisions@gmail.com for more information or to receive the virtual meeting link.
Gunnison County has a long history of library service to residents and visitors.
