Friday Adventure Hike

A long-standing tradition at Colorado Backcountry – on Friday we explore!

Since 2006, these guided group hikes visit remote, seldom visited gems around Crested Butte.

You might think you have seen it all around her, but we promise on Friday’s we’ll open your eyes.

Every Friday Hike, your guide will select a unique and special destination. We start the summer with modest 4-6 mile adventures, and build up longer 8-12+ mile epics as the summer progresses. Most hikes include a combination of on and off-trail travel, often utilizing the amazing network of trails laid by miners, elk, cows, or other locals who explored Gunnison County before us.

Fill your daypack with essentials: lunch, snacks, water, rain gear, a headlamp, and extra layers. Toss on your hiking shoes. Meet at the 4-way parking lot in Crested Butte at 6:30am. We’ll carpool to the trailhead and head into the backcountry for an unforgettable adventure!
