DJ Reverend Severyn

Born and raised in the mountains of Colorado, Reverend Severyn’s musical journey is far different from most.

At only thirteen years old, he hosted and DJ’d a weekly radio show playing electronic music on a local community radio station. His radio sets were well received, and throughout his teenage years, he began spinning in small clubs and bars of various Colorado ski towns.

While recovering from a severe ski injury, he began producing music on his laptop and fell in love with the creative process. His musical curiosity led him to Vancouver Canada, where he attended recording school and implemented traditional production techniques into his music.

An avid freeskier, his musical taste was heavily influenced by the soundtracks of underground ski and snowboard movies. Severyn’s sound combines elements of funk with modern house and electronica.
