For 20 years, Cooking Matters has empowered families with the skills to stretch their food budgets and cook healthy meals so their children get nutritious food at home.
As part of the No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in America, we enhance the dignity and joy of growing, preparing, sharing, and eating fresh, locally grown food.
Share our Strength’s Cooking Matters hands-on courses empower families with the skills to be self-sufficient in the kitchen.
Our participants and volunteer instructors come together each week to share lessons and meals with each other. Classes are FREE to the public and are taught in both English and Spanish.
