Cooking Matters

11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Mountain Roots Food Project works within the Gunnison Valley to enhance healthy connections between food, earth, and community.

We use the Cooking Matters curriculum to help people develop their skills when shopping for and cooking healthy foods on a budget.

This course is designed for low-income adults that are seeking to improve their overall health and productivity.

The six-week course is FREE to the public and is taught in both English and Spanish. Childcare is available during the course.

We work with local nutritionists and chefs to make the experience fun and educational. At the end of every class, we share a meal and send you home with the ingredients and skills that you need to cook the recipe on your own!
