A Resistance Fair!

This is a gathering, a brainstorming, a venting, a taking-action event.

Join Townie Books and Stix & Stones for a Resistance Fair! We’ll be knitting “Melt the Ice” Hats, sharing resistance books recommendations, collaborating, commiserating, and taking action.

Proceeds from finished hats as well as patterns will benefit MN Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC), and proceeds from book sales will benefit Juntos por Gunnison.

We'll have resources on hand to contact your elected officials, and other ways to be involved. Book recommendations will abound.

MIRAC is an all-volunteer, grassroots, multiracial, and multinational immigrant rights mass-movement organization. MIRAC fights for legalization for all, an end to immigration raids and deportations, an end to all anti-immigrant laws, and full equality in all areas of life.

Juntos por Gunnison is a community resource center for immigrants, newcomers, the established immigrant community, and the receiving community in Gunnison, Colorado.
