The Color of Snow: A Fundraiser Reception

Be part of Crested Butte’s newest creative community event!

The Crested Butte Creative District invites you to contribute to our upcoming 6″x6″ exhibition—open to everyone—and a special 10″x10″ invitational showcase.

Who can participate? Anyone! Artists of all ages and experience levels are welcome.

Where can I get the canvas? Pick up your FREE 6×6 canvas at the Center for the Arts or one of four partner locations anytime between September 22 and October 31.

When is the artwork due? Submit your artwork by November 5 and be part of The Color of Snow: A 6×6 Fundraiser gallery reception on November 14 as a part of the Crested Butte Makers Market.

How many works? Up to 2 original artworks per artist (any medium, 2D or 3D).

Is there a theme? Yes! Our theme this year is The Color of Snow. The theme is simply a spark for inspiration—it doesn’t need to be taken literally. What matters most is celebrating and showcasing the creativity and talents of our community’s artists.

Format: Works must be created on the provided 6″x6″ canvases, signed only on the back to keep the exhibition anonymous.

Cost: Free to participate.

Sales: All submitted artworks will be displayed and available for purchase at $25 each. Each purchase helps support microgrants and professional development opportunities for local creatives through the Crested Butte Creative District. Buyers will discover the artist’s name only after purchase!
