Elk Creek Marina boasts an extensive rental fleet featuring pontoon boats, kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards, all available for exploration on Blue Mesa Reservoir. Additionally, our facility offers a well-stocked general store, boat slips, fishing gear, tackle, and knowledgeable fishing guides. Conveniently located 16 miles west of Gunnison on Highway 50, Elk Creek Marina provides easy access to aquatic adventures.

For a more intimate marina experience, visit Lake Fork Marina, nestled on the west end of Blue Mesa Reservoir near Blue Mesa Dam along Highway 92. Here, you’ll find amenities such as in and out boat launching, a store and tackle shop, gasoline, boat rentals, boat slips, and guided fishing excursions.

Elk Creek Marina Guided Fishing Services provide fishing trips on Morrow Point Reservoir in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, with Elk Creek Marina being the only motorized fishing guided outfitter on this reservoir.

The Gunnison River, from 200 yards downstream of Crystal Dam all the way through Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park to the North Fork is designated Gold Medal & Wild Trout Water. This designation is given to the lakes and streams of Colorado that offer the greatest potential for trophy trout fishing.

Wonderful marina, beautiful reservoir, great fishing, and incredibly nice and helpful team running this operation. Boats were in really nice condition at a reasonable price. Only thing that would be more helpful would have been a depth finder /fish finder (a lot of rental operations do this and it’s helpful).

Loved it. Staff was friendly & very helpful. The boat ride was amazing and beautiful. I didn’t catch any fish ( it happens ) but im definitely doing it again. Highly recommend!

Rented a pontoon boat for a full day with a group of four friends. The staff at Elk Creek were all very nice and friendly. Explained the functions on the boat and off we went. Boat performance was great and comfortable. We will be back!

The boat was prepped and ready on arrival at Lake Fork Marina. The dock attendants were superb in assisting us getting underway and when we returned the boat. The safety briefing was complete and answered all of the anticipated questions. The staff at Elk Creek were likewise very accommodating and professional. They all made it an extreme pleasure to be back on the water and the entire crew enjoyed the day immensely. THANK YOU!

We were so thankful to get a pontoon boat when the fishing boat was unavailable. We so appreciated being blessed and had a wonderful time out on the water. Jordan and all the young men were so helpful – an awesome crew!!!
It is so beautiful there. It was the first time we had camped there and we love it. We look forward to returning and going out on the water again.
Would love to see Pappy’s open in the future, it looks like a sweet place to enjoy food and a great view. It’s nice you have picnic tables at the marina.

Keera, Emy and Tanner have treated me so nice this summer. Everytime the store is open they have greeted me by the name I prefer, Pat, with a smile. They are so good to my dog Morgan. Today they helped me dock and tied off my lines for me. They even took Morgan up to pee. Nobody has ever done that for me before. All three are very mature for their age and have been a bright spot for my summer. Always a smile on their face for all the customers. You are luckily to have them as employees. I give them an A++ and I’m a hard grader.

Initially had 1 single reservation at elk creek Marina for a kayak. We needed another tandem and the very nice employees recommended Lake Fork and switched our reservation for us. We loved the relaxed atmosphere at the boat houses and all our questions were answered before we pushed off. Was happy to board kayak from the shore vs the dock. Loved our time and would go again in a heartbeat! Would recommend this activity!
