Western Colorado University Junior Mountaineers Camp Registration Opens Today

Western Athletics is back again this summer to provide a unique summer camp opportunity to youth in the Gunnison Valley!

This state-licensed camp will take place on the Western Colorado University campus and is specially designed for children ages 5-12.

Running Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm all summer long (June 2 to August 15, 2025). Kids are grouped by age (k-1st, 2nd-3rd and 4th-6th – with their own staff.

Our enthusiastic Western students, studying education, engineering, exercise and sports science and outdoor education, will lead your child through a fun filled experinece.

Junior Mountaineers Camp (JMC) combines athletics & physical activities with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) to create a summer full of adventures and learning.

Each week of camp will have a different theme that the various STEAM activities are based around in addition to the regularly scheduled weekly activities.
