Join us in Gunnison, CO, from September 20-21, 2024, for a memorable Homecoming celebration at Western Colorado University! This year, we are excited to honor and celebrate the milestone reunions of the classes ending in 4 & 9, starting with the Class of 1954 (1959, 1964, 1969 etc.). Hotels are booking fast. Please plan accordingly.

As Mountaineers, our spirit of adventure and community brings us together. Whether you’re reconnecting with old friends, exploring the campus, or cheering on our teams, there’s something for everyone. The weekend will be packed with events, including:

8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Back to Class Day | Schedule Coming Soon
Rediscover the joy of learning! Join us for a day of nostalgic academia as alumni are warmly welcomed back to our campus. Immerse yourself in a series of engaging classes scheduled for Friday.

12:30 p.m. Alumni Club Volleyball Game | Paul Wright Gymnasium

2 – 4 p.m. Western Welcome | Quigley Hall and Art Gallery
Enjoy refreshments while you peruse old yearbooks, get the weekend’s schedule of events, and pick up swag. Plus, you can register early and avoid the lines at the Lighting of the W Party.

5 p.m. Homecoming Parade | Iowa Street, Main Street & Ohio Street
Witness a vibrant display of school spirit—a Homecoming tradition you don’t want to miss.

7 – 9 p.m. Annual Lighting of the W Party | Paul M. Rady Building & Lawn
Join us as we dance through the decades, indulge in delectable food and refreshing drinks, and celebrate cherished traditions!

11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Memory Lane Luncheon | University Center Ballroom
All are welcome! We’ll be celebrating the classes ending in 4 & 9. Catch up with classmates and share your stories over lunch in the Student Union/University Center.

1:30 p.m. Alumni Club Lacrosse Game | Katy O. Rad Soccer Field

4 p.m. Football Tailgate | Paul Wright Gymnasium Parking Lot
Come together to show your support as we rally behind our Mountaineers in their thrilling football game against the Adams State Grizzlies! The tailgate festivities kick off at 4 PM in the Paul Wright Gymnasium Parking Lot.

6 p.m. Football Game Kickoff | Mountaineer Bowl at Rady Family Sports Complex
Join us at the newly renovated Mountaineer Bowl at Rady Family Sports Complex to cheer on the Mountaineers as they take on the Adams State University Grizzlies.
