Evening Youth Whitewater Kayaking Camp (Ages 10-17)
Evening Youth Whitewater Kayaking Camp (Ages 10-13 & 14-17 (different groups).
Want to learn to kayak? Join us for this 4-Evening camp; you will learn boat fitting, wet exits, basic strokes, balancing, safety, and the T-rescue. Throughout the week you will be introduced to river safety and hydrology, whitewater risk assessment, advanced stroke technique and how to roll your kayak. This class will take place on blue mesa (flat water) and the Gunnison river. Must be a proficient swimmer.
Dates: July 9-12 (Sun. – Wed.)
Time: Evening 5:30pm-8:30pm each evening.
Day 1 will be on blue mesa (Flat water and all other sessions will be on the Gunnison River.
Cost: $285
Ages: 10-13 & 14-17 (Separate Groups)
All equipment can be provided, you are welcome to bring your own if you have it
