Gunnison Senior Center Snowshoe Hikes – Lottis Creek
FEBRUARY SNOWSHOE HIKES
The South Lottis Trail #428 begins at the South Lottis Trailhead, travels through the Fossil Ridge Wilderness, where Wilderness Regulations apply, and ends at the Gold Creek Campground. The trail parallels South Lottis Creek for approximately 4.25 miles climbing 1,460 feet in elevation. It is a relatively easy hike.
Gunnison Senior Center – ages 55 & up
– Feb. 7: Lottis Creek (Easy)
– Feb. 14: Washington Gulch – Avalanche Class with Crested Butte Avalanche Center (Easy to Intermediate)
– Feb. 21: Middle Quartz Creek (Intermediate)
– Feb. 28: Gothic (Intermediate)
COSTS: Current Rec or Senior Center membership and $5.00 hike fee.
Experienced, Wilderness First Aid/Adult CPR trained hike leaders.
