Crested Butte
We are located in downtown Crested Butte, Colorado (201 Elk Ave), on the western slope of the Continental Divide, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The Elk Mountains and West Elks tower above the Gunnison Valley with their 12,000 to 14,000-foot peaks. From the classic western town of Gunnison to the south, to the historic mining town of Crested Butte at the north end of the valley, we are surrounded by majestic mountains and pristine beauty.

Explore off-road trails and mining roads dating back to the 1800s. There are over 2,000 miles of ATV, jeep, and 4-wheel drive trails in the Gunnison Basin, which provide access to spectacular mountain scenery, aspen forests, diverse landscapes, wildlife, rivers and creeks, and ghost towns.

No trailers needed! Pick up and ride from Holt’s Guest Ranch. Half-day and full-day rentals for rides to Tin Cup, Mirror Lake, Cumberland Pass, St. Elmo, Slaughter House Gulch, Pitkin, Alpine Tunnel, Flag Mountain, Italian Creek, and Texas Creek.

The Holt’s Guest Ranch is at 9,400 feet in the Rockies and is within a half-mile of Taylor Reservoir. Holt’s Guest Ranch includes has rental cabins, RV sites, and a restaurant in Tin Cup. This is an ideal location to ride out on our ATVs to access miles of trails in the high country.

You can find many places in Colorado to do a snowmobile tour with but only Colorado Adventure Rentals has Chavez!! Absolute rockstar! A great experience made so much better by Chavez our guide.

My husband and I did the Top of the Rockies private snowmobile tour. Giselle was our guide and she was absolutely incredible. She gave clear instructions, checked in with us often, and was helpful in getting some amazing pictures for us. This is one of the best experiences we have ever had! The views are breathtaking and the trails are great. I highly recommend regardless of experience level.

My buddy and I were on a 2 week road trip through CO mainly for hiking and mtn biking. However, neither of us had ever been on ATVs and we wanted to rent some while in Crested Butte. The owner, Kyle, answered all of our questions (even called us from his personal cell phone when we had more specific questions about the trails), got us booked with rentals and all set up in no time. When we arrived at the trails (about a 1 hr drive from their store in Crested Butte), Kyle was waiting promptly and had the ATVs ready to go. He gave a very thorough explanation on the machines, safety, trail map info, etc. Super nice guy that wants his guests to have a good experience.

And then the fun- these ATVs and trails are AWESOME! Granted, this was our first time on ATVs but we were amazed at what the machines could handle on the trail.. and with ease. Absolutely awesome performance! Hands down- one of the highlights of our CO trip. We had a blast! Knowing how much fun the experience was my only regret is that we didn’t book a full day (we booked a half day) or multiple days. Absolutely worth the money – great time! Highly recommend Kyle and Colorado Adventure Rentals in Crested Butte, CO.
