My husband and I did the High Adventure Tour with Bobby and it was amazing. Although we snowmobile in Michigan, we had never snowmobiled in CO before. Bobby made the experience very comfortable and tailored the tour to what we wanted to do (we got lucky and it was just my husband and I). March was the perfect time to go and we had some beautiful snow half way during our ride. Highly recommend for couples or families. A super fun way to experience the Colorado mountains in Crested Butte.

Our snowmobile adventure with Bobby was the highlight of our Colorado vacation! We had an absolute blast!! Being from GA, we’d never seen this much snow, never used a snowmobile, and had also never faced cold temps like we had this day, but Action Adventures did a great job of meeting every need we had. They had plenty of suits and boots that kept us warm, plus the snowmobiles had heated handlebars! They also trained us well on how to handle the machines, so it was fairly easy to learn to ride. The ride was amazing! I enjoyed every second of this experience.

We have a lot fun, from the moment we walk in the warmer welcome was great, they try my wife very nice even though they didn’t speak no Spanish. And at the camp was even great Reses was awesome, with the whole team. Thank you so much I highly recommend it.

We visited Crested Butte for the first time earlier this year and our guide was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so kind and our experience was mind blowing as it snowed during our tour and it was beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will be back!

My husband and I decided to book a snowmobile tour (2 singles) during our honeymoon (week of 03/27/23) and it was super easy from the time of booking to the day of. If there were any issues, they called us and double-checked.

They issue helmets and avalanche beacons, and if your boots are not high enough, they rent out boots. My husband and I are frequent skiers so we brought our own ski goggles, pants and jacket.

If you are able to drive, I would highly recommend getting a single and not a double. The person riding double is not going to have any fun due to the bumps.

The directions to the meeting place are super easy to find. Instructions prior to taking off on the tours is super quick and very informative.

We had Mark as our guide and loved how knowledgeable and extremely fun he was about the area. He kept checking on us and giving us options to do things throughout the entire tour!

Mark is also an awesome iPhone photographer! 🙂

Our trip was even better than last year. Mike was our guide and we experienced many different types of terrain. Deep powder in areas, and a few of us got into too deep snow. Mike bailed us out. Best snowmobile tour yet. You have to try it out.

The three of us booked the private, 2 hour, single rider, tour and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. It was gorgeous and super fun! The guide Drew, we really informational, fun, and took us to some great spots. The trails were fun and pretty, we also go to have fun on some of the open fields and really see what the snowmobiles could do! Great Tim, would highly recommend!

These guys were top notch! We had a great time snowmobiling. My wife was super scared to drive a machine and they took the time to make her feel safe. We even had one small crash and our guide, Bobby, immediately made sure everyone was okay. I would highly recommend this company!

Great experience from sign-up to parking the snowmobile at the end of the tour. The staff are kind and attentive. The guide, Mike, is awesome – great all around guy and knows snowmobiling, the wilderness area, and outdoor life very well. Mike provided to-the-point instruction on operating the machine safely and no one and any major issues. It was clear, the safety and comfort of every rider in the group was paramount. Despite differing levels of comfort and willingness to throttle up, everyone in the group seemed to have a good time. I know, I sure as hell did! Thanks Mike and Action Adventures for a wonderful experience.

Just finished a beautiful day of snowmobiling. I was a bit nervous when we started because the ride up the road to the actual trails was pretty bumpy in spots. It got a lot better once on the trails. We got up past Lake Irwin and then back across the valley. They took us to a large meadow and turned us loose for a bit to open up and push ourselves. My son is 17 and did great. My daughter rode with my wife and had a blast. Make sure you have warm clothes and a gaiter or something to keep your face warm from the air. And tall boots are recommended. They will rent you some if you need them. We wore our normal cold weather ski stuff and were pretty good.

And don’t forget, the guides expect tips, so bring some cash and tip however you feel your experience deserves.

Great time and Great way to see beautiful Crested Butte! The staff in the store was super helpful getting us ready with rental suit/helmet/boots. Our guide was fantastic. Instructions on operation were clear, with safety and fun as priorities. She stopped several times to explain about terrain and history of the area, etc. and of course she snapped some pics for us too. Overall an awesome experience well worth the cost.

The guided snowmobile tour was not only affordable, but exciting and breathtaking while riding through the back country. What an amazing day in Crested Butte! My wife and I live in Gunnison, and brought her parents out to show them the area. Could not have chosen a better way to do so. The staff at Action Adventures is professional and knowledgeable, and we never once felt unsafe touring the mountainside with our tour guide. We were supplied with avalanche beacons, full face helmets, and other items to help my in-laws feel more comfortable.

The best time ever with these guys! (Darian the Alsken Super Star) my wife and I went out twice, once as a group, and also did a private tour. I would recommend them and will be back to ride another day. Great equipment, experience guides, friendly, knowledgeable. Wife had never been on a sled and now wants one of her own. That’s how much fun we had with Action adventures.

SICKEST DAY EVER! I am local here and had some friends visiting. They don’t ski so we wanted to do something else with all the snow and could not have decided on a better option. We chose the half day tour combining the two options. Our guid quickly assessed our skills and we were farming pow next thing you know. Big thanks to Mark for making our day so awesome, really great guy! These guides will adjust the trip so you have the most fun, we’re in our 20s and want to go fast but we saw families and groups of all ages having fun and making it back safe. Worth every penny couldn’t recommend more. WARNING you will want to buy a snowmobile after this!

Went during spring break. The guide made it clear we go our own speed and asked slower people to take the rear. This really helped ensure every person enjoyed the trip according to their liking and weren’t pressured to speed up or slow down.

They issue helmets and avalanche beacons. They rent snow boots for $5. They also have suits for rent (cost unknown). Bring your own ski goggles and dress with one layer more than skiing. The handlebar heaters will keep your hands warm (or hot if you like that).

Gorgeous scenery! Reasonable cost. Helpful staff. Great guide. No complaints.

Had the best time with these guys. Our guide Kyle, had our son with him and didn’t disappoint. You are taught the basics initially and are given reminders as you go. The scenery is intense. A must do for all ages. They can supply boots, helmets and goggles to borrow. So much fun. Thanks for great memories!

2022: Did 11am tour with Mike and had a great time. Covered new trails, new places and views. Cant ask for a better family experience. Year #3 for us. Cant wait to return!

I am not a huge fan of skiing so I was very excited to see another winter sport option that I could try! Everything about our Snowmobile trip was excellent! Kyle was our guide for both of our trips (we went twice we loved it so much). He was very knowledgeable of the area. He could answer any question I threw at him from what mountain is this called, to questions about snowmobiles and even other sports. The structure of the trip was very enjoyable. We started on some nice, wide, easy trails and then we got to a open meadow and got to play around for 15min. That was a lot of fun to just ride around, try some jumps, ride up a hill, and just play around in general. We then took some beautiful trails through a forest and up a mountain to a wonderful view. The pace of the group was very enjoyable. Those who wanted to go fast could go up front and ride faster and the slower people could stay in the back and everyone was happy. One of the best parts was the “Roller Coaster”. 4 large hills with steep drops that you get to ride down. Kyle made sure everyone was comfortable with the challenge before we tried. It is a bit scary at first but trust me, very safe and very doable. We ended the trip with a view of a “castle” and then a nice take it at your own pace ride back to the trail head. I highly recommend this trip. I did it both tandem and single and I much prefer the single. It is a bit more expensive but you really do get more out of it just because the trip is very flexible for people to go as fast or as slow as they want.

Some tips:
– Boots are extra to rent and bring your own gloves and goggles. If you forget they have some loaners, but they are from the lost and found so it is not guaranteed to get a matching set ;D
– The handle bars of the snowmobiles are heated…SOOO NICE
– Kid friendly! Stickem on the back and have a good time!

Had some out of town guests visiting. What better way to show them our beautiful backcountry and winter scenery than a snowmobile tour? We had a great time! Our guide Kyle was fun and very knowledgeable of the area’s history. Highly recommend! Great alternative for those who don’t ski.

Our group of three joined Kyle, our guide and three other snowmobilers on a beautiful February day. The sleds were in tip top shape, easy to drive and very comfortable. The scenery was spectacular, the trails were in great shape. We did a two hour tour, next time we will do the four hour tour. Kyle knew all the places to get the most spectacular views of the mountains. Highly recommend Action Adventures, they’ll be our first chose when we next visit Crested Butte.
